Sales Administrator

Glencore - Zinc

This is a Full-time position in Toronto, ON posted September 13, 2017.

We are currently seeking a sales administrator to support our metal trading team in their daily activities. This is a full-time permanent position based in our downtown office in Toronto. An opportunity not to be missed if you are ready to take the next step!

What we are looking for

– Excellent administrative skills ideally gained in a sales department or in A/R, A/P
– Ability to work effectively in a team or independently in a fast-paced environment
– Strong organizational skills and the ability to quickly learn and grasp new concepts
– Motivated, flexible and detail-oriented

What you will do

Administration of purchase and sales contracts, including documentary monitoring of the contract from beginning to end and coordination of contract changes and corrections.
Sales order entry and order changes.
Truck and rail car scheduling including warehouse transfer planning and shipment scheduling.
Weekly and monthly reporting of shipment status, customer issues, metal production guidance, smelter inventories and sales realizations.
Purchase and sales pricing/hedge processing and reporting.
Verification of all documents in compliance with Glencore’s internal guidelines.
Close interaction with worldwide offices for guidance on Chartering, Insurance, Finance, Legal and compliance.

Other requirements

– A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
– Languages: English (required), French (definite asset), Chinese or Spanish (nice to have).
– Experience working on SAP is a definite asset.
