Position: Product Flow Clerk
Location: Don Mills
Salary: From $15 to $16 per hour

Our client, in the Don Mills area, has an immediate opportunity for a Product Flow Clerk. This is an immediate temporary to permanent opportunity for the right candidate. Previous work experience in the printing industry is a huge asset.

Under the direction of the Product Flow Supervisor, the Product Flow clerk is responsible for the tracking and flow of all company produced items within the buildings along with the editing, and population of all required info on the master schedule. This role is the centre of communications and liaison between kitting and production.

Major Responsibilities:

– Coordinate the flow of product throughout campus
– Actively attend and participate in all production meetings
– Ensure verification of kitting info (items, pick list, inventory) is accurate and available for ready to work items
– Understand and follow docket specifications in order to identify work flow and forecast timelines
– Liaise with production planning, finishing, CSR, and kitting regarding troubleshooting and problem solving regarding location and timing of item arrival
– Liaise with Assistant Manager Kitting and Packaging regarding kitting concerns, item discrepancies, completion timelines, and space capacity
– Direct and lead Internal Driver on duties and tasks
– Ensure Driver completes pack slip checks prior to loading and transferring goods from building to building
– Ensure that all internal transfers are logged and any discrepancies reported and addressed
– Provide ongoing performance reviews to department employees, consult and give feedback to team on overall progress
– Ensure product flow department employees are in compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations

Additional Responsibilities:

– Ensure packing labels are accurately prepared and printed for packaging
– Ensure proper staging and identification of all items in inventory lanes
– In partnership with the Logistics Manager, contribute to sharing continuous improvements ideas, and initiatives
– In partnership with the Logistics Manager, map and document standard operating procedures on product flow
– Support inventory with item location and retrieval, when required
– Complete all special projects, as assigned
