Learning and Development Specialist

This position supports the development of B2B Bank¿s employees which is the key to our organizations success and sustainability. The incumbent is responsible for the needs analysis, instructional design, development, delivery and evaluation of learning solutions that support B2B Bank¿s operational readiness and business growth. Success in the role will require that the incumbent facilitate knowledge sharing and leverage specialized expertise within all of B2Bs key business areas. This role will underpin the implementation of talent on boarding, skills cross-training, and key projects across B2B Bank by cultivating and sustaining a culture of continuous learning and development. As an agent of performance optimization, the candidate will be responsible for proactively partnering with internal clients to assess opportunities, diagnose issues, provide appropriate guidance, and recommend tailored learning solutions.Partnering with key stakeholders and internal clients, the Learning and Development Specialist will be responsible for the following: Design and develop learning experiences in multiple subject areas, including instructor-led training, e-learning, webinar and blended programs Work with internal subject matter experts to create content for training programs and tools while ensuring talent programs meet learner needs Develop and maintains subject matter expertise in the processes, procedures, products, and systems utilized and supported by B2B Bank¿s operational and client services teams Leverage expertise in Instructional System Design (ISD) methodologies and adult learning principles to ensure consistency and repeatability in all phases of the learning development life cycle. Leveraging the appropriate media and channel, delivers innovative learning experiences that fully support client and project requirements and that leverage a variety of learning methods that appeal to various learning styles and instructional preferences Actively applies learning evaluation strategies to measure the effectiveness of instructional solutions and drive continuous improvement Keeps current with all B2B Bank products and services, as well as operational process and procedural changes, industry changes and/or regulatory changes Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to foster engaging and inspiring learning experiences. Maintains strong partnerships with key stakeholders. Demonstrates resilience, adaptability, and the ability to maximize personal productivity within evolving environments Supports and adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) providing updates where required or appropriate to methodologies and tools Perform other duties as assigned to support B2B BankPost secondary degree in or diploma in adult education, organizational development or a related field 3-5 years experience in the design and facilitation of on boarding and cross-training programs Instructional System Design (ISD) methodologies and instructional best practices are an asset 2-3 years experience in the design, development, and delivery of e-learning solutions both through dedicated, asynchronous channels and through blended implementations Experience using an e-learning design tool such as Adobe Captivate an asset Strong computer skills in all MS Office Suite products, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Excellent written/verbal communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrating tact and diplomacy while maintaining confidentiality as required Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritize. Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and clients are necessary for this role CTP or CTDP accreditation is considered an asset. Experience in Financial Services industry including regulatory bodies such as OFSI, IFIC, MFDA, and IIROC is considered an asset.
