Position: Marketing/Client Relations Coordinator

Location: Toronto

Our client, a leading professional services firm, has an immediate opening for a Marketing/Client Relations Coordinator to join the Client Relations and Marketing Team in the Toronto office.

Reporting to a Director of Client Relations and Business Development, the successful candidate is responsible for providing support to the firm’s business development and marketing initiatives, as well as a wide range of client-focused activities and projects.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

– Developing an understanding of practice, industry and initiative group structures and operations
– Supporting the Directors and Specialists with business development activities
– Drafting invitations and reviewing invitation lists, liaising with internal staff on the planning and production of materials, and providing onsite logistical support for seminars and events
– Preparing and coordinate submissions for specific groups, ensuring new mandates are submitted to appropriate league tables
– Supporting the Business Intelligence team with client and industry-focused research projects
– Ensuring appropriate promotion of activities for select practice groups, this includes internal activities, speaking engagements, conference attendance, sponsorships, and other initiatives
– Reviewing marketing collateral including practice descriptions, website content, brochures and other material to ensure it is current
– Proofreading various materials
– Executing other support activities as required by the Director or Specialist

Education and Experience:

– University degree or college diploma in Business/Marketing (or equivalent) is required
– 3 to 5 years of business development and marketing experience in a professional services firm

Skills and Abilities:

– Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, CMS and Interaction
– Highly motivated self-starter capable of delivering on a diverse range of projects, often involving tight deadlines and competing priorities
– Above average business writing skills and ability to speak confidently with lawyers and firm management
– Exceptional organizational and time management skills
– Excellent attention to detail
– Demonstrated internal and external client service focus
– Problem-solving skills and judgment
– Positive disposition and the ability to work well individually and as part of a team
