managing the Clinical Service team and the operations of the department;
assisting in the development and implementation of new clinical services and products to increase the department’s revenue; educating internal and external clients on provincial drug programs and key issues relating to pharmacy or pharmaceutical industry; ensuring firm is positioned competitively within the marketplace with respect to its drug adjudication policies and pharmacy reimbursement;
developing and maintaining relationships with our key clients;
providing support to the sales and client service group through a variety of activities such as development of member educational material, participating as a contributing member of IS project business requirement team, assisting in the development of responses to Request For Proposal and client presentations.
Manage a team who are responsible the day to day operations of the existing Clinical Services, specifically Formulary Management, Special Authorization, Trillium/PharmaCare Coordination, Disabled Dependants Evaluation, Coverage Navigation, Specialty Support Program and ad hoc clinical retrospective drug utilization review.
Manage the Clinical Department staff to ensure continuous development, growth and training in terms of job and industry related knowledge.
Provide clinical expertise to clients by developing clinical ad hoc reports and performing therapeutic cost-effective analysis, drug utilization review.
Responsible for upselling clinical products and services to existing clients.
Assist in the development and implementation of new products and services.
Develop programs / presentations to educate internal and external key customers regarding the private payer drug trends, Canadian pharmaceutical environment and provincial drug programs.
Post-secondary degree in Pharmacy
Strong knowledge of retail and clinical pharmacy
Strong knowledge of the Canadian public and private drug benefit environment
Strong Leadership skills
Strong presentation skills
