Job Title: Student Administrator

Job location: Downtown Toronto

Type of employment: Part time

Metro College of Technology is a private career college in Toronto, Ontario. Since 1998 it has successfully been providing career-focused training programs to the public. The College trains its students with state of the art knowledge and skills to meet today’s dynamic job market demand. The programs at Metro College of Technology cover engineering & technology, information technology, business and management, healthcare and legal services.


  • Receiving tuition payments, preparing receipts and updating student payment records
  • Closing student files and preparing credentials for students
  • Delivering books to students
  • Preparing handouts
  • Answering student enquiries over the phone and via email
  • Greeting visitors, copying, scanning, faxing, and filing
  • Additional duties as required


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with clients, co-workers, and management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast paced environment 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professional demeanour and high degree of discretion with sensitive information
  • Ability to meet deadlines and possess a sense of urgency; works well under pressure and with time constraints
  • At least 2 years of experience in an office administration position
  • A post-secondary education is considered an asset

Start Date: As soon as possible

No. of hours: 13-24hrs/week, 5:30pm to 10:00pm (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) and 9:30am to 5:00pm (Saturdays)

Compensation: starting at $13/hr
