Following a successful year, our client is looking to grow their sales team with the additional of a Business Development Representative in Toronto! This organization has been established in the Canadian marketplace for over 20 years as an industry leader in creating crucial data centre infrastructure and mission critical control rooms. They have worked with some of the largest public companies in aviation, technology, airports and universities.
This is an opportunity for a successful Business Development Representative to work with an industry leader, sell into a niche sector and opportunity for growth.   
The Role: 
A Business Development Representative will be responsible for:

  • New client acquisition; focused on new business development efforts through working with dormant accounts and prospecting new opportunities.
  • Targeting medium to large corporations with a consultative sales approach; sales opportunities could take over a year to secure.  
  • Collaborating with senior leadership team to create sales proposals; products and solutions can range from $25,000 – $250,000.
  • Working closely with an internal design staff and multiple decision markers to advise clients on the best solution.
  • Working from a home office; expected to maintain an organized schedule and work with a remote leader.

Candidate Profile:
We are looking to review candidates who possess the following:

  • 4+ years of experience in an outside or territory sales role.
  • Proven ability to sell a consultative solution and concept – not just products.
  • Aggressive ​hunter! Someone who is able to reengage with dormant accounts and secure net new business. ​
  • Candidates with a technical background will be preferred, a strong mechanical aptitude is required ​in order to able to conceptualize projects.

A candidate will be offered: 

  • This role offers a base salary, plus commission package with uncapped potential.
  • Earning potential in year 1: $80,000, in year 2: $100,000 and year 3: $130,000.
  • Additional perks include a car allowance, cell phone laptop and data allowance. Holidays and health benefits are also included.
