Our client is a top-ranked global company that specializes in software to financial services organisations. They are seeking a Senior Sales Executive to build business by identifying and selling products and services to two tier 1 banks in Canada; establishing relationships with potential/existing clients and supporting the sales strategy in Canada. The role is focused on new sales opportunities, retention, up-selling and overall client satisfaction.

About the role – Senior Sales Executive:

  • Sells products and services by establishing contact and developing relationships.

  • Identifies business opportunities with new/exciting business and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options.

  • Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.

  • Achieve sales targets and strategic goals

  • Build and foster long-term relationships and referrals with senior managers, officers and key opinion leaders in the banking and financial services sectors; identify new market and growth opportunities.

  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.

  • Develop and maintain sales forecast and pipeline

  • Record and track sales activities, updates on sales opportunities, deal information on Sales CRM system

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Perform such other duties, functions and services, consistent with status or vocational ability, as may from time to time be required.

About you:

  • At least 10 years of experience and proven track record of sales and achievement of sales targets in the banking and financial services sectors

  • Experience closing $1-10MM+ deals

  • Able to deal with people at all levels within an organization, and show and demonstrate negotiating skills with key decision makers.

  • Demonstrate good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to establish interest, trust and credibility.

  • Good understanding of banking operations and relevant processes (front, middle, back office), thorough understanding of IT processes and implementations from both functional and technical perspectives.

  • Preferably a university education in relevant business disciplines, preferably with a post-graduate degree.

  • Self-motivated, ambitious, independent, organized, focused and be able to multi-task.
