This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted September 13, 2017.

Our client is one of the most successful North American firms in the fuels, oil and lubricants sector.  Their management, sales and operations teams are second to none, all due to a hands-on approach to business.  They sell into the trucking, transportation and general industrial sector throughout Canada and are poised for strong growth in the upcoming years. They are on the search for their next Vice President of Sales to inspire leadership throughout their Canadian sales team and drive the company towards higher levels of success.  If you’re a top level senior Sales leader in the fuels, oil or lubricants sector and are hungry for your next challenge – apply within!

RESPONSIBILITIES/SERVICES
Setting of strategic direction for all revenue generating products, services, activities and personnel for the company.

Providing leadership, inspiration and direction for the national Sales team.
Daily coaching, support and management of all Regional Sales Managers throughout Canada.
Coaching and leadership at the Sales Representative level where necessary if Regional Sales Managers need assistance.  This VP can’t be afraid if being hands on at the ground level.
Spearheading relationships with high revenue / top tier national clients where necessary, to ensure alignment and revenue maximization.
Hitting annual national sales budgets is paramount in the role.

25-50% travel throughout Canada, as business requires.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
5 plus years experience in a senior Sales Director / VP level position.  Experience managing middle managers is critical to the role and a must have.
Experience in any of the fuels, oil and lubricants sectors is strongly preferred for the position.  Experience in another industrial type sector may be considered for an exceptional candidate.
Must have a strong, quantitative track record of success driving Sales teams to exceed sales targets.

THE DOLLARS
$200K plus total earnings including a strong base salary plus performance based variable compensation.  All typical senior management perks included.
