Our client is one of the leading manufacturers in Canada.

Responsibilities Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the accounting department; Develop and implement the financial policies, system and procedures; Prepare and/or co-ordinate the preparation of financial statements, summaries, and other cost-benefit analysis and financial management reports; Co-ordinate the financial planning and budget process, and analyze and correct estimates; Notify and report to senior management concerning any trends that are critical to the organization’s financial performance; Evaluate financial reporting systems, accounting procedures and investment activities and make recommendations for changes to procedures, operating systems, budgets and other financial control functions to managers and senior management; Act as liaison between the organization and its shareholders, insurance, banking, external financial auditors, etc.; Recruit, organize, train and manage staff; Monitor customer credit applications including issuing sales terms, evaluating sales terms, and oversee and support collections of delinquent accounts; and Ensure business records are maintained to meet legal, information and government requirements and ensure compliance.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, commerce or a related field A CPA designation is strongly preferred A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience including a minimum of 3 years management experience Expert knowledge of IFRS Strong computer skills in accounting software and MS Office specifically Excel Proven communication skills (both verbal and written) Proven leadership to supervise and lead staff Ability to provide well considered and proactive solutions to senior management Experience managing and developing staff Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills Proven project management and time management skills to organize, implement and execute projects If you feel you meet the above qualifications and have relevant experiences, please forward your resume to Lucas Professional Search Group to the attention of Zahra Sherzay.
