Join Minto to find out how you can be a part of it all! Why wer’re hiring:Reporting to a Manager in the Financial Reporting Group, the Junior Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for completing budgeting, financial and management reporting, and analysis activities for companies within the Minto Group.The Junior Financial Reporting Analyst will be expected to exhibit the highest attention to detail while working on numerous routine and ad hoc financial reporting functions.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Working with the financial reporting team to ensure accurate and timely completion of all monthly, quarterly and annual close procedures.

This may include:o Data entry and data manipulationo Reviewing financial transactions and following up on errors or misclassificationso Preparing and reviewing journal entries and supporting documentationo Preparing consolidation entries, including investigation and elimination of intercompany transactionso Preparing and reviewing various account reconciliations, continuity schedules and other supporting schedules, including performing variance analyseso Preparing both non-consolidated and consolidated financial statements and related disclosures using CaseWare and CaseViewo Assisting with the quarterly forecasting processes including updating templates, compiling consolidated files, management and board reportsAssisting with the continuous improvement of accounting policies, processes, and controlsAssisting with coordination of external auditResponding to ad hoc queries and performing ad hoc duties, analyses, and special projects, as necessary Key to this position:Strong analytical skillsAbility to function efficiently under pressure in order to meet various deadlinesAbility to frequently transition between working independently and supporting team initiativesExcellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritizeStrong problem solving skillsStrong communication skills; both verbal and writtenStrong work ethic and willingness to learn Training and required experience:Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPointExperience preparing financial statements and performing account reconciliations and/or financial analysis an assetKnowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE)Knowledge of SAP, BPC, CaseWare and CaseView considered an assetAbility to grasp new technology toolsOther valued attributes that we are seeking include: a strong work ethic, capacity to work independently, and consistent performance with a sense of urgency and commitment. To learn more about Minto and to apply for your next role: Visit our Minto Careers website. Minto is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible environment.
