Senior Financial Analyst

This position, reporting directly to the Sr.

Manager, BI, GL & DRM, is responsible for Oracle General Ledger and Oracle Data Relationship Management (DRM) and some BI reporting dashboards in Tableau.

The successful candidate will be the prime managing the Oracle GL & DRM, govern Standard Chart of Accounts (SCOA), develop reports in Oracle and dashboards in Tableau, end user support and active participation in month-end closing activities.

This role requires daily interaction and cross-functional collaboration with internal finance departments, IT, external implementation consultants and external auditors.

Responsibilities: Responsible for Oracle General Ledger, Oracle Data Relationship Management and some dashboards in BI Tableau Administer Oracle General Ledger as a specialist
– interfaces with third party applications, mass allocation rules, cross validation and security rules, currency rates, calendar, recurring entries, and FSG reports Govern Standard Chart of Accounts (SCOA) in Oracle Data Relationship Management as a prime
– changes to SCOA structure, configuration of approval workflows in DRM, maintain alternate hierarchies, ensure SCOA integration, integrity and use across financial reporting and BI applications Liaise with Auditors to facilitate interim audits
– provide data extracts for SOX financial report testing, provide auditors with report definitions, troubleshoot any discrepancies encountered/reported as a result of the SOX financial report testing, track all new reports or report changes and provide information to the SOX team, follow the change management process to promote reports into the Oracle production environment Collaborate with IT Support team for ad-hoc issues in the existing applications
– troubleshoot interface issues of GL with third party applications, DRM and GL SCOA mapping issues, security issues in GL, incomplete data in Interfaces etc Create new and maintain existing financial dashboards in Tableau
– import, manipulate and prepare data in SAS Enterprise Guide and build meaningful dashboards in Tableau Collaborate with external consultants in the ERP modernization initiative
– perform gap analysis in the existing system, full support in upgrade of system, develop pain points in the existing system, analyze new functionalities and solution offered by consultant Support end users in their queries for the modules responsible and train end users on GL, DRM, BI dashboards on an on-going basis Support multi-year data platform migration to cloud Special Tasks as required Critical Skills and Qualifications Degree in Business with a major in Accounting A Professional designation (CPA) or working towards it A total of 4-5 years of work experience required The ideal candidate would have 1-2 years of experience in ERP implementation or administration Preference will be given to candidates with first-hand experience on Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Data Relationship Management.

Certifications in Oracle ERP/EPM/Cloud modules are an asset Intermediate skills in SQL are required.

Advanced skills are an asset Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau/OTBI and data manipulation tools such as SAS would be an asset Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with, provide guidance to, and train a variety of different levels of employees.

Must be able to present information to various levels and to communicate both user requirements and share technical knowledge.

Able to communicate with all levels of personnel and across various functions with ease Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to identify and resolve issues in an efficient and effective manner Manage duties with minimal supervision demonstrating accountability, a strong sense of urgency and initiative in owning tasks to completion Strong time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
