We are looking for a technical product manager to lead the evolution of our tax technology products. You’ll work directly and collaboratively with technical, management, and client teams to advance our tax technologies.
What you will do
- Collaborate with various functions to assist with analyzing the business needs and develop logical specifications for hardware/software systems. Assist with gathering information and evaluating output requirements and formats.
- Plan and design business processes to improve business activities.
- Work closely with application developers, designers, and architects to understand the business model and detailed function requirements.
- Work closely with clients in understanding key business issues.
- Gather and analyze requirements to develop impactful recommendations and solutions.
- Facilitate new client on-boarding.
- Utilize advanced analytical techniques to solve challenging business problems. Leverage a diverse set of technologies and tools to deliver insights.
- Problem solving ability through the use and/or development of algorithms, models, testing, etc.
- Deliver value to the product development team through internal tooling, education, and documentation.
- Serve as SME (Subject Matter Expert) on our product and communicate current and future capabilities to the business.
What you bring to the role
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience, ideally in the financial, asset management, domain. Relevant experience includes Product Management (Technical), Product Development (Vue.JS, ReactJS, Node.js, C#, .Net Core, Python, WPF etc), Business Analysis, Business Systems Analysis and Data Analysis (SQL)
- University Degree in mathematics, statistics, machine learning, computer science, operations research, engineering or econometrics, other quantitative disciplines and/or equivalent combination of education in related disciplines.
- Passion for supporting professional development of the team through the role of a Performance Manager. Mentoring and coaching team members to achieve their goals through professional and personal development.
- Experience in mainstream cloud services: AWS, MS Azure, GCP and IBM Cloud Pak
- Ability to articulate product vision in your area, documenting both short-term plans and long-term strategy.
- A data mindset. You look to data to define a problem and you also look to data to demonstrate success. You can identify commonalities across seemingly disparate analytics use cases, in order to identify unique ways of approaching problems.
- Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles.
- Must be a self-starter, a team player, and able to operate autonomously.
