Administrative assistant

This is a Full-time position in Tara, ON posted October 8, 2019.

Job Description Ensures coverage of telephone and reception area: answers and directs incoming calls, greets visitors, maintains visitor logbook and directs guests /contractors to appropriate department staff.

Independently handles general office administration tasks such as: organizing meetings; coordinating travel arrangements; maintaining service calendars; scheduling service/sales appointments and maintaining files.

Establishes and performs routine office functions independently such as typing, photocopying, faxing, correspondence filing, stationary ordering and maintaining department stationery supplies.

Collects employee timesheets and submits them to Payroll, keeps records of all staff absences, prepares summary, keeps record of time accrual Liaises with Head Office’s HR, as applicable for new hires and staff leaving the company Develops and maintains Administrative procedures.

Maintains meeting room, office and kitchen supply needs.

Assist in ordering supplies Performs other administrative duties as required.Requirements:Post-secondary education with minimum college degree in a communication/business/administration related field.Excellent written/verbal English skills.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint along with a strong aptitude for learning new software.Experience in an Administrative role in a service oriented environment is a strong asset.Attention to detail.Team Player and self-starter.Strong organization skills, with the ability to set priorities, follow-up and meet deadlines.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, varied and diverse environment with changing priorities.Delivery of high customer service in a professional and cheerful manner.Code (for internal use): #ZRÂ Company Description VPI is working with the employer to find suitable candidates and help fill this position.
