The mandate of the College is to protect the health and well-being of the public by ensuring patients receive safe, ethical care.We’re currently in search of a self-motivated, organized, and accommodating Administrative Assistant to join our team on a maternity-leave contract. What you’ll be doing:As our new Administrative Assistant, you will provide general administrative and office support to our team.You’ll be the face of the organization and serve as the first point of contact for all visitors and callers. You’ll receive and direct inbound calls, emails, and faxes, and ensure that they are directed appropriately and in a timely manner. In addition, you’ll oversee our office supplies, making sure that our facility is well-stocked and our team well-equipped to complete their work effectively.A large, and critical, part of your role will also be to support our meetings and events. You’ll oversee our team’s calendar of events, and proactively ensure that facilities are arranged.  You’ll be the point person to coordinate hospitality and catering, will prepare rooms with supplies and refreshments, and manage all post-meeting clean up. You’ll love this role because you’ll get to be at the centre of the organization, supporting your team and helping them achieve their goals. You’ll work Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm in our Winnipeg office, with occasional requirements for extra hours for events etc. You’ll earn between $16 – $18.50/hour, depending on experience.Our building is located across the street from a beautiful park, and is within walking distance from The Forks and walking trails. Surrounded by huge trees and ample free parking, it offers a bright and sunny workspace.Qualifications: We are looking for:* A combination of education and work-experience in an office setting, hospitality, or related field* Strong knowledge of general office procedures, including hospitality* Hands on experience with productivity applications, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation and desktop publishing (MS Office, Outlook, etc.)* Excellent attention to detail preferably combined with experience maintaining meticulous records, filing systems, and databases* High school diploma* Valid driver’s license (for occasional office errands)* Post-secondary diploma or courses in business administration or a related field is a plus, but not requiredHow to ApplyThe online application process should take 10 to 15 minutes to complete and provides us with the opportunity to learn more about you.
