Job Description Position Title: Administrative Clerk – JuniorGovernment of Canada’s Security Required: Enhanced reliabilityLanguages: Unilingual English or French IntermediateLocation: Ottawa, OntarioDaily Hours*: From: 7:00am to: 3:00pm Job DescriptionSkills and abilities required include the ability to multi-task; work under pressure; meet tight deadlines and familiarity with general office procedures, the use of standard office equipment and software (Windows XP or higher, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

In addition, the Administration – Junior Clerk is required to have strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and interact with all levels within an organization and must demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, people, processes, policies and confidentiality.What you will achieve in this roleInputting, processing and updating data;Capturing information using an electronic tracking system;Routing correspondence and maintaining computerized software for tracking and recording of documents and data;Performing document and file management functions, including e-filing;Photocopying, faxing, and scanning documents;Preparing correspondence, reports, statements and other material; andFamiliarity with office management practices will be required.

Work performed will be reviewed.Assembling and disseminating correspondence and briefing materials;Preparing and reviewing documents;Maintaining office equipment;Working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines; and Shift work and overtime with little or no notice.What you must bring to this roleEducation: Successful completion of two years of secondary school, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience at Elections Canada’s discretion is required.Experience: Minimum of three months of relevant experience is required.
