Senior Administration Officer-Estates

This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted February 6, 2018.

The incumbent is responsible for the timely, efficient and accurate administration of client estate settlements. This includes reviewing, approving, processing, documenting, completing tax reporting, and respond to internal and external inquiries regarding estates settlements in an efficient and timely manner, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirementsReview, acknowledge and approve Estate documentation. Contact client¿s Estate in writing regarding missing or incomplete documentation. Search all B2B Bank systems for client holdings. Process all required transactions on B2B Bank systems. Compute tax position and issue necessary receipts. Prepare final letter and request settlement payment to the client Estate. Keep up-to-date on the legislation in effect, as well as on policies and procedures. Understand and follow the established processes, policies and procedures for Estate accounts, ensuring efficient, effective, seamless administration and quality client service is achieved. Compile and report on the status of productivity, volume, accuracy, and escalate issues regarding deadlines. Perform all other duties and special projects as may be assigned.Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related discipline, combined with a minimum 2 to 3 years relevant work experience in estate processing and estate legislation. Knowledge of banking products, including registered products and Investment Loans. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with clients about general estate, trust, taxation and financial issues including economic condition. Detail-oriented and focussed on accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to multi-task, to prioritize workflow, and meet deadlines. Familiarity with 5S, Kaizen Principles, Six Sigma or other Continuous Improvement methodologies is an asset.   Must possess intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel.
