Reporting to Manager Technical Services, the Supervisor Technical Services ensures products and services meet applicable industry standards, to promote an environment where company products and services are preferred throughout the marketplace and to position company products, personnel and customers on the cutting edge of advances in product technology.

Position Responsibilities (key duties, scope of position, goals, expectations, and skills requirements) Compliance with the CRH OH&S, Quality, Integrity and Code of Business Conduct policies and procedures Implements policies, procedures and systems for the Technical Services Department and monitors the quality of raw materials for the group Develop and implement new products across the group and troubleshoot quality issues and customer concerns Monitor the quality of raw materials and make appropriate recommendations based on findings to the Operations team at each aggregate site Assists in selecting and making recommendations on appropriate tools for the Quality Control function Responsible for implementing systems to effectively manage Quality Control of all product lines Working with Sales and Production teams to create appropriate customer focused products Foster a sense of collaboration and work effectively across the organization to achieve goals Keep up with most current applicable standards and test methods and be aware of any changes Provide technical training to laboratory, on-site personnel, internal and external customers Effectively examine events, issues and problems to generate optimal solutions in a timely manner Create a high performance environment through “engaged” employees Define and implement measures to further improve material and product uniformity Analyze results and initiate appropriate action to achieve/exceed business objectives and targets Perform other activities related to the function, or department as assigned Educational Requirements: University or College degree in an appropriate discipline is a must 5 years of experience in the construction materials industry ( preferred in the aggregate materials industry ) Working Conditions: Field/Lab/Office environment Travel to company sites and customer job sites Physical demands Position Dimensions : Safety oriented Strong analytical skills Knowledge of the geographic area you are applying for and ability to read and understand maps, an asset Computer knowledge and proficiency with MS Office and Stonemont QC Management Software Team oriented, willing to help out in all areas of the department Customer-focused mindset Strong interpersonal and communication skills Must have valid G driver’s license Why work for us?
