This is a Part-time position in Thunder Bay, ON posted December 2, 2019.

Job Description Northwestern Veterinary Hospital is seeking a friendly and reliable individual to join our reception team!

Duties/Responsibilities The main duties and responsibilities of a receptionist include but are not limited to:Welcomes clients by greeting them in person or on the telephoneCheck-in and check-out clientsSet-up new clients and patients in the database and prepare physical filePrepare and maintain medical recordsPrepare exam rooms for appointmentsFill prescriptionsProcess payments transactions accuratelySchedule and confirm appointmentsAnswer and triage telephone callsRecord and relay messagesMaintain clean and safe reception areaDeal with customer concerns and complaints in a courteous and effective mannerInteract with doctors and other clinic staff regarding care of patientsAttend mandatory meetings and seminarsPerform clerical duties such as filing and sortingSkills & QualificationsHighschool Diploma or equivalent1 year receptionist/administrative experience requiredMust be fully available 7:30 am 6 pm (including weekends).

Full time staff work on a 4-on, 4-off rotation.

Actual hours may differ and may be reduced to part time hours depending on our requirementsMust be client-focused with a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and oralMust be reliable and punctualAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to work under pressure in a fast paced environmentWe appreciate all applications, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
