Construction Site Supervisor

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for talented people who are ready to contribute to that vision.As our new Site Supervisor, you’ll oversee the entire range of services we offer: everything from landscape grading to concrete forms and seasonal maintenance. Using a detailed knowledge of standard landscaping practices, you’ll ensure that every project meets company standards while making an impression on clients. Here’s some of the things you’ll be working on: * Set and update weekly work schedules while staying in contact with management and labourers in terms of changing needs* Coordinate landscaping plans and organize staff accordingly* Monitor the daily activities of staff for quality, efficiency, safety etc.* Monitor and maintain equipment* Contribute directly to landscaping projects, especially in terms of design/layout, but also in a hands-on capacity where necessary  * Complete regular site reports/records using tools such as Aspire and SiteDocs* Follow and implement safety practices and procedures (JSAs, Toolbox Talks, etc.)* Ensure completed projects meet both company and client standards, and are completed on time Since you’ll be working on a team, you’ll need more than just technical knowledge of landscaping; you’ll need to excel interpersonally as well, leading your team by example while solving conflicts and working together. Working with CSL This is a full-time, permanent position, with variable hours, including some OT and weekends, typically starting early morning until late afternoon. You’ll start out between $30 and $35 per hour. There’s nothing more important to us than making sure everyone goes home safe and comes back ready for more tomorrow. Qualifications * 2+ years’ experience in construction site management, preferably in landscaping or a similar industry* 1+ years’ experience leading small teams (4-5 people)* Experience working with/troubleshooting landscaping equipment (hand and power tools, as well as heavy equipment)* Experience with concrete fabrication, including moulds, pouring, etc.* Experience in site grading, excavation, etc.* Experience monitoring and enforcing safety procedures on site* Familiarity reading specifications/blueprints* Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle* Ability to lift/carry 50+ lbs.* Clean driving record* Post-secondary degree/diploma in a relevant field would be an asset* Heavy equipment operators licence would be an asset How to Apply Our online application will give you the option to apply to this role as a complete person – not just a resume.
