This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted July 1, 2020.

Our client, a reputable home builder, is seeking a qualified, experienced Estimator to work at the company’s head office in Ottawa.

The role will primarily include estimation and pricing for custom upgrade selections in new homes.Roles and ResponsibilitiesCompletion of all new home custom upgrade estimations for Provide material take-offs.Create and maintain matrix for upcoming projects as required.Liaise with the head office construction department and trades as requiredCommunicate with trades and suppliers for pricing of custom changesEnsure Design Centre Coordinators and customers fully understand the implications of any construction-related changes and/or selectionsAssist in maintaining accurate upgrade pricing database by adding construction detailsQualifications and ExperienceMust have:Minimum 3 years experience estimating in residential construction, ideally with a tract and/or custom builderAbility to read and understand working drawings, shop drawings and Scopes of WorkThorough understanding of building principles and basic building code requirementsExcellent computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work in a fast-paced office environment and adhere to strict timelinesNice to have:Experience in costing low-rise condominiums an assetWorking knowledge of Builder MT and Timberline is considered an assetVacation: 2-3 Weeks’Full Benefits#glassdoorWe are an inclusive employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
