Job Purpose: Working under the Superintendent supervision, the Telecommunications Labourer will operate an Aerovac, connect underground pipes, install connection boxes, support the drillers, install telecom drops, perform landscaping work, etc.

Responsibilities as a Telecom Labourer

-Perform different construction tasks using rakes, shovels and wheelbarrows;
-Assist in loading, unloading materials and tools;
-Transport materials from one place to another of the site to make them available to co-workers;
-Set the installation of the road safety on site;
-Read and interpret plans or diagrams and perform required work;
-Communicate with co-workers for prep work and project coordination;
-Complete accurately all work reports with company provided devices;
-Report on work/milestones and delays to the Foreman and/or Team Leader;
-Regularly perform Health & Safety inspection of equipment and tools;
-Oblige to Health & Safety Rules;
-Work under customers’ standards;
-Follow equipment maintenance schedule and advise if repair is required;
-Perform other tasks related to this function.

Required Qualifications as a Telecom Labourer

Valid Full G driver’s license;
Good physical endurance.

Beneficial but not required as a Telecom Labourer

Experience in the field of construction;
Experience in the field of Telecommunications – underground projects;
Knowledge in plan reading;
Book 7 knowledge;
AZ or DZ driver’s license.
