Customer service representative


This is a Full-time position in Milton, ON posted June 18, 2019.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The hours of work for this position will be Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm (includes break times).The successful candidate will be responsible for accepting and coordinating any and all customer/broker requirements as needed and completing order entry and tracing tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

The Customer Service Representative will ensure that all pick up and delivery schedules are met at the required on-time targets set out by dispatch.

They will also be responsible for ensuring that all service related information (issues, delays, in/out times, etc.) are effectively communicated to the appropriate parties and that customers are treated with the utmost respect and service at all times.PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:Ensure that all orders and order information /required details are received in an organized and efficient mannerEnsure that all customer requirements are metEnsure that any and all pertinent details from load confirmations/tenders are correctly noted and appropriate/required parties are alerted of any and all load requirementsEnsure that fleet / driver managers are updating the System frequently and accurately with pick up and delivery ETA’s and eventsEnsure that all POD’s are accounted for and collected in an efficient mannerEnsuring that all customer relations are maintained in the highest regardOngoing personal/professional developmentESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Dispatch CommunicationEnsure that all required service levels and load information are properly communicated/understood and followed up on with dispatch and planning to ensure customer satisfactionEnsure that all notes, equipment and order details required for transportation are communicated effectively to dispatchCustomer ServiceMaintaining a professional and loyal relationship with all brokers/customersEnsures that all customer requirements are adhered to and properly communicated to supporting teamCommunicates any service delays or failures to the customer prior to the occurrenceEnsure that all successful pickups or deliveries are communicated to customer at time of occurrence.Ensures that all pick up and delivery requirements are met to appropriate service levelsEnsure that operations and dispatch is continuously communicated with and followed up on to ensure all freight is effectively planned and executed.AdditionalPerform any other reasonable duties assigned or directed by Senior Customer Service Representative as necessary to ensure the continued success of Wheel King and all departments/affiliates Skills & AbilitiesAbility to effectively manage competing priorities and maintain resultsAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external contacts, customers, clients and outside industry contactsGood analytical skillsEffective planning and organizationPassionate about customer service and delivering high quality serviceTenacious and energeticCreativity and resourcefulnessAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlinesAbility to think outside the boxAbility to work as part of a teamAbility to build relationshipsWillingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidaysAbility to gauge and understand all kinds of customersAbility to satisfy customers requests in a highly efficient mannerEducation & ExperienceThis position generally requires at least 1-2 years of related customer service experienceStrong knowledge of North American trucking regulations and geographyAssessment techniques such as: examining, questioning, evaluating and reportingStrong understanding of dispatch operations in the transportation industryPhysical DemandsAbility to sit for long periods of timeAbility to view computer screen for long periods of timeWork EnvironmentAbility to use a wide range of practical problem solving in a high stress environmentAbility to work quickly on matters at handAbility to lean on and assist team membersThe ideal candidate is results-oriented, a strong communicator with excellent customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills.
