UX Designer

SailPoint Technologies, Inc

This is a Full-time position in Hamilton, ON posted January 23, 2023.

SailPoint is looking for an experienced, passionate , team-oriented User Experience Designer to join our web UX team Our User Experience Designers are responsible for successfully planning and implementing digital experiences for our flagship website, SailPoint.com.

Collaborating with subject matter experts and marketing stakeholders, they create targeted digital experiences that bridge the brand’s digital ecosystem, while carrying out the overall strategic vision .

With a thorough understanding of the audience and user centered design,you will direct how the SailPoint brand is expressed through digital interactions and how those interactions fit into the broader customer experience.

This role demands a keen awareness of digital trends, a high proficiency in user centered design, a thorough understanding of UX strategy, strong information architecture skills, the importance of mobile usability, knowledge in marketing performance measurement, and familiarity with the B2B marketing channel.

The User Experience Designer reports to the Director of Web Experience.

What You’ll Do: As a user experience subject matter expert, you will help lead the digital experience of our brand by ideating and concepting with our internal stakeholders.

Utilizing a UCD approach, you are always considering accessibility & inclusive design, technology platforms, and contextual storytelling.

Present user experience strategy around campaigns and site updates to stakeholders based on competitive research, industry trends and traffic analyses.

Always using a data backed design approach to deliver solid rationale for all decisions.

Manage and evolve our component-based design system in Figma, along with corresponding documentation.

Use your passion for all aspects of design including conceptual thinking, typography, motion, copy, and imagery to create best in class experiences.

Collaborate with SEO, design, and development in creating and presenting digital solutions in the form of wireframes and user flows.

Guide the implementation of digital projects by generating clear, detailed functional specifications.

Generate prototypes for the purposes of modeling, communicating, and demonstrating key aspects of the user experience to internal teams.

Understand the importance of defining marketing success measurements, KPIs and other performance metrics.

What You Have: UX/UI
– A deep understanding of User Centered Design (UCD), responsive design and performance data-driven design principles; ability to provide rationale and supporting data for UX recommendations; a desire to lead the creation of digital experiences and customer journeys; a passion for representing the user’s POV and an intense curiosity about why people do what they do.

Information Architecture
– The ability to map out complex information architectures in the form of site maps, user flows and other organizational diagrams linked to user needs.

Research Skills
– The capability to synthesize complex or diverse information; collect and research data; intuition and experience to complement data in creating digital marketing solutions.

Problem Solving
– The skills to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; you work well in group problem solving situations; use reason even when dealing with emotional topics.

Technical Skills
– The capability to assesses your own strengths and weakness; pursue training and development opportunities; strive to continuously build knowledge and skills; share your expertise with others.

People Skills
– The talent to present UX concepts in an understandable, persuasive, and non-technical manner to marketing and leadership.

Articulates design decisions.

Works well independently as well as collaboratively, takes direction from managers and knows when to bring in leads.

Time management skills
– Can effectively communicate changes in approach and progress to the team.

What You Need: 3-5 years of professional experience in experience design, UX, or interaction design.

A Bachelor’s degree is required.

Experience in creating rock-solid deliverables with rationale including IA & sitemaps, user journeys, use cases, wireframes, competitive assessments, and ecosystem diagrams.

A mastery of Figma and a through understanding of component or module design and design systems.

Experience in the following areas: mobile optimization, user testing, ADA & WCAG compliance, SEO/organic search and B2B marketing.

Strong oral and written presentation skills using software such as Microsoft PowerPoint or Keynote.

Familiarity with the capabilities and limitations of current web development technologies.

A portfolio of work samples is required.
