Project Manager – Infrastructure

Position Description: We offer the opportunity to work with Canada’s largest Information Technology Outsourcing and Management Consulting Company with a true global presence in a fast-paced and energetic atmosphere where your personal and professional growth is accelerated by your desire and sense of commitment Your future duties and responsibilities: As a project manager in the CGI global infrastructure services project management practice, your involvement in the achievement of the projects & transitions is to lead the technical teams in multiple geographies and provide directions for operational project planning, communications, reporting as per the project agreement and contract.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Plans, executes and controls Infrastructure projects involving significant scope, budgetary management, significant risk, impact and sensitivity, in support of organization and enterprise strategies and objectives
• Demonstrated leadership, with the ability to motivate and effectively manage teams
• Leads the strategic planning of the assigned capital projects, manages and monitors the assigned projects throughout the implementation stage and proactively manages change throughout the project life cycle
• Build an integrated plan that details how scope, schedule, costs, communications, resources, dependencies, risks/issues, quality, change vendors (where applicable) and other key aspects of the project will be handled
• Execute various activities to deliver projects using the project plan, work plan, risk log, communication plan, issue logs and resolution as well as managed change requests
• Plan, organize, manage and communicate effectively the project activities to ensure the project objectives adhere to client satisfaction
• Monitor approved project budget, scope and timelines, actioning variances on a timely basis, leveraging standard project change request processes
• Ensure time charged by members applied to the appropriate task and control the project budget.

• Complete satisfaction surveys with the client upon project completion and obtain signoff.

• Obtain engagement and approvals by all players; individual members, teams and the client plus suppliers.

• Ensure your projects are auditable (CGI quality processes applied)
• Supervise the progress of the project and adjust course where required to ensure successful delivery, escalating where appropriate Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Essential Qualifications
• 8
– 10 years of overall IT experience with a minimum of 3-5 years project management
• Manage relationships with internal and external partners
• Good communication skills to interface with the project stakeholders, client and business IT teams

• Excellent analytical skills with good problem solving attitude
• Ability to successfully navigate and deliver within a fully matrixed environment
• Champion customer experience and client relationship to ensure the project team delivers on time and to the client satisfaction
• Use standardized tools, templates and processes (CGI methodology
– client partnership management framework
– CGI quality processes) to manage your projects
• Apply existing procedures defined by the GTO project management practice Desired Qualifications
• Manage internal and/or external partners and suppliers would be considered an asset
• Exposure to Cloud Technologies would be considered as an asset Education and Certification
• Language: Candidate must be fluently bilingual; French and English.

• Diploma: Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent experience, Master in Project Management is an asset.

• Certification: Project Management institute (PMI) is an asset
