Executive Director, Health Services Area Fraser Health is responsible for the delivery of hospital and community-based health services to over 1.8 million people in 20 diverse communities from Burnaby to Fraser Canyon on the traditional territories of the Coast Salish peoples.

We are looking for a forward-thinking leader who will be accountable for the overall leadership of Ridge Meadows Hospital , as well as the health services provided within the communities of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows .

This position ensures the identification, evaluation and analysis of strategic issues for clinical and service teams and is informed by evidence-based information and decision-making from key clinical partners to ensure optimum levels of patient care within these two acute care sites.

You will develop and champion sound collaborative partnerships at local, regional, and provincial levels.

As a strategic individual, you will own a coordinated health services team improving resources within financial mandates to optimize the use of health care resources (capital, financial and human) that support targeted outcomes.

This key role will see you lead in conjunction with site Medical Leaders and reporting to Vice Presidents to implement Programs and service objectives to support patient focused seamless care across hospital and community settings.

We will be looking for you to have:
•Master’s degree in a health related field;
•Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years’ progressively senior management experience including leadership in a large health care organization.

Your professional and technical capabilities will include:
•Ability to problem-solve with an innovative perspective to incorporate the organization’s systems and strategies when developing viable solutions to problems.

•Dedication to a patient-centred care philosophy.

•Ability to optimally present and clarify requirements, expectations, ideas and concepts to key partners.

•Ability to work effectively across organizations and government agencies.

•Knowledge of the principles and practices of project and change management.

•Strong analytic, financial and research abilities to support reports and research information related to clinical care and practices.

•Knowledge of current provincial health care policies.

•Knowledge of funding practices.
