Medical Radiation Technologist

The Role:

Medcan is recruiting for a full time Medical Radiation Technologist to join our growing high-performance clinical team. We are seeking an experienced and client focused professional with a great attitude. The role is accountable for the effective delivery of x-ray and/or bone density scans for our clients during their Annual Health Assessment and other services at Medcan.

Here are the accountabilities of the role:

Patient preparation for and performance of X-Rays and Bone Density scans following the required guidelines for the procedures. Additionally, replacement in Mammography may be required Record and process patient data Operate equipment, and perform and document basic quality control checks on equipment Maintain radiographic equipment Update, file and maintain client information Review of written reports and discussion with physicians and radiologists Prepare and calculate month-end billing information and statistics Assist with organization and filing of medical reports 

This role will also assist with facilitating the flow of patients through the Clinic and coordinate with other staff to ensure exceptional delivery of service.

The Requirements:

Certification with the CMRTO and General Radiography experience Bone Density experience OAR CBMD accreditation is an asset Superior organizational and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in MS Word and Outlook Superior patient care and customer service skills

This is a permanent full-time role that is scheduled during business hours on Monday through Saturday. Regular Saturday shifts may be required. Start times may vary according to clinic or team needs. The role reports to the Manager: Medical Imaging.
