RHA Job Number: GO-00630104 Number of Vacancies: 1 Profession: Registered Nurse Management: No Employer: Saskatchewan Health Authority Community: To be determined Facility Name: Saskatchewan Health Authority Department: Maternal Children’s Clinical Integration Employment Type: Permanent Employment Term: Part Time Posting Date: May 7, 2021 Closing Date: May 17, 2021 21:30 Hours of Work: Shift Information: Days In a 6 week rotation: 24 shifts of 8.00 hours Rate of Pay: $40.410 to $50.400 (6 step range) Union Name: SUN Job Description Reporting to the Manager, Maternal & Children’s Clinical Integration, the Pediatric Outreach Coordinator is responsible for the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of Maternal and Children’s Provincial Programs education, quality improvement, clinical benchmarks, safety, and service delivery initiatives.

Job Qualifications Required Qualifications Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA) Valid Class 5 driver’s license Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing Master level of Nursing, Education or Health Administration, is an asset.

Experience -Minimum of three (3) years of recent experience in pediatric nursing.

-Minimum of one (1) year experience in program, education, and resource development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation.

-Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an adult educator role or providing education to professional teams preferred.

-Advanced pediatric training and/or certification (e.g.

CNA Pediatric or Neonatal Nurse Certification, emergency nursing pediatric course) -Eligibility to pursue or current instructor certification for PALS, ENPC, ACoRN or NRP is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Computer skills in such programs as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) Excellent verbal and written communication skills In-depth clinical knowledge and skill set to support the development of maternal/child policies, procedures, clinical practice guidelines, standards of care, benchmarks, and service delivery framework modules.

Awareness of resources available to support to SHA staff and physicians related to maternal/child standards of care.

Knowledge of adult education and learning principles, and ability to integrate into programs and strategies including demonstrated ability to assess learning needs of clinicians.

Ability to support the development of standard work, clinical guidelines and educational modules.

Ability to operate related equipment, including audiovisual, clinical and simulation equipment.

Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including considerable travel.

Ability to conduct needs assessments.

Ability to coach and guide improvement initiatives related to achieving benchmarks.

Knowledge of quality and safety initiatives, including accreditation processes.

Knowledge of professional regulatory body requirements in developing policies and procedures to support specialty practice, additional competencies, etc.

Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, consultative manner.

Ability to develop and deliver presentations.

Ability to prioritize, interpret and respond to issues in a timely and appropriate manner.

Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships and communication with other health care professionals; ability to build and maintain relationships based on trust, accountability and open communication.

Ability to facilitate groups to achieve deliverables.

Strong leadership skills.
