Position: Pharmacy Technician

Job Type: Temporary, Full Time

Shifts: Mon – Fri, 8.30AM – 4.30PM

Our Ontario client is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to fill a temporary full-time position beginning on 17th September 2018 up until 17th December 2018. If you are seeking a stable and consistent work environment with a good pay, then this is the position for you!

You are expected to be detail orientated to support the team to operate day to day operations helping professional pharmacists, and maintaining company standard. In this role you will be responsible to provide superior patient care, communicate with the customers over the phone and in- store to address customer service issues.


  • Ability to calculate, measure, and mix the quantities of prescribed drugs and other ingredients require; filling the appropriate containers with the correct quantity as needed.
  • counsel customers on the use and effects of pharmaceutical drugs, and ensure the accuracy of prescriptions.
  • Instruct patients regarding directions for taking medications.
  • Work alongside healthcare professionals to plan, monitor, and review the drugs.
  • Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customer and communicate the dosage amount, adverse effects and other important indications.
  • Maintain drug inventory levels by ordering necessary mediations and supplies, and verifying deliveries against purchase orders.
  • Complete new and updated patient profiles, including lists of patient medications in the computer system.
  • Provide a professional and confidential environment for all customers.
  • Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures, professional standards and applicable laws and regulations.


  • College Diploma in Pharmacy
  • Minimum 1 year experience working in a pharmaceutical environment
  • 1 year experience with using Kroll
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills , and interpersonal skill
  • Ability to work independently and within the team
  • Ability to work productively under pressure in a fast paced environment
