Job title :REGISTERED NURSE, RENAL OUTPATIENT Community :KELOWNA Facility :KELOWNA GENERAL HOSPITAL Status :CASUAL Position Summary Seeking reliable and motivated RNs to join our renal nursing team for casual shifts in our Renal Outpatient Clinic in Kelowna.

Days of work may be weekdays from 08:00-16:00 on an as needed basis.

The Registered Nurse practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care.

Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse ensures the delivery of client-centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs.

The Registered Nurse demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.

If you have successfully completed a recognized nephrology specialty program and have experience of working with renal clients, then we would love to hear from you Qualifications Graduation from an approved school of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Successful completion of recognized advanced clinical preparation in the assigned renal specialty area plus two years recent related experience in the assigned renal specialty area, (which may include experience in chronic kidney disease, peritoneal dialysis, home hemodialysis and/or organ transplantation depending on the assigned clinical area) and one year recent related teaching experience required; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Current BCLS certification required.

Valid BC Driver’s License required.
