Job Description:
The Bilingual Team Leader, Distribution Compensation Services will help lead the Tier 1 and Tier 2 Commissions teams for Sun Life Financial Distribution (SLFD). This role will help develop and coach team members on day to day operational processes. Reporting to the Manager, Distribution Compensation Services, the Team Leader will play a major role in supporting SLFD commission functions.
What Will You Do?
Queue and Workflow Management
Monitor and forecast volumes to ensure proper support on English and French queue lines
Resource with team members to identify focus areas for daily operations
Handle Commissions inquiries and escalations through to resolution
Lead and coach existing and new team members
Project Support
Support inter-department and business partner projects where applicable
Support reviews conducted by Internal Audit, Compliance and external parties
Working on the Business
Look for opportunities and help implement improvements to strengthen our operational processes (automation, controls, processes, etc.)
Promote and execute on the Brighter Way Management System (BWMS)
What Do You Need To Succeed?
Bilingualism (French, English) is required to lead a team of bilingual customer service reps and service a network of bilingual advisors
Team leadership experience
Ability to manage changing priorities, excellent organizational and leadership skills
Strong decision making skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in the insurance industry is an asset
Experience leading a service centre team is an asset
Knowledge of Sun Life Financial Distribution (SLFD) is an asset

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
