Job Description:

What you will do?

Let’s start by letting you know which area we are hiring for which is Individual Insurance Operations. We directly support Advisors and Clients with Life and Health Insurance products. Our ‘world’ is focused on providing accurate and timely calculations and illustrations for Advisors, Clients and our internal business partners.

Now that you know the “where’, let’s talk more about what you will be doing here. As a Consultant on our In Force Illustrations and Calculations team, you will:

  • Calculate policy values and generate illustrations to deliver on the requestor’s needs.
  • Leverage your expertise about our products and systems to understand the nuances to consider and what to look out for when processing requests.
  • Problem solving and asking questions to understand and develop creative solutions to meet the needs of our clients and business partners.
  • Use your experience of providing great service to delight our Advisors and Clients.
  • Use your attention to detail to and time management skills to deliver requests accurately and efficiently.
  • Support on team growth through knowledge development with activities such as on team training, conducting quality assessments and case review.

Who You Are:

  • You understand how to use Excel. You understand, use, and manipulate Excel formulas to adjust calculations.
  • You posses comprehensive knowledge of Individual Life and Heath Insurance products.
  • You have proficiency on the following systems: CSW, Ingenium and MLIF
  • You like math and problem solving. You can connect the dots to make sure things hold together and can identify when something doesn’t. You have a strong attention to detail.
  • You drive to outcomes. You manage your time effectively and deliver accurately. You are self motivated and can work independently.  You take ownership and confirm priorities of work to meet business objectives.
  • Resilient. You can handle a fast paced, changing environment. You can meet multiple deadlines under tight timelines when needed.
  • Curious. You ask questions to comprehend. You identify issues and investigate to understand them.
  • You put our Clients first. You have strong communication and relationship skills. You go the extra mile because it's the right thing to do.

  • It’s considered an asset if you are bilingual and/or have prior life insurance knowledge.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted.  It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.  In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.  Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
