Human Resources Generalist | Milton

This is a Contract position in Milton, ON posted June 19, 2019.

Human Resources Generalist Manufacturing | Milton Our client is a well-established light manufacturer based in Milton.

They are currently looking for a Human Resources Generalist who will help to take their company to the next level through Human Resources initiatives Reporting to the Operations Manager and working with key Stake Holders such as the General Manager and the Vice President, you will help to build and streamline HR practices and enhance the organization’s culture by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of Human Resources Generalist experience and has been in a stand-alone role.

What you’ll be doing: Employee Relations: Develop and maintain employee relations, advise managers on ways to build and maintain solid teams, conduct surveys, and exit interviews and make recommendations Recruitment: Create and implement recruitment plans to attract and identify candidates, conduct interviews, make recommendations to hiring managers, research different recruitment tools
– job boards, job fairs schools, various online resources, conduct references, prepare offer packages Training & Development: coordinate on-boarding, facilitate orientation, work with managers on development plans Health & Safety: support committees, assist with WSIB claims and return to work programs Do you have the right qualifications?

• Minimum of 5 year of experience in Human Resources with 2 years in a Generalist role
• Experience working in a distribution/manufacturing environment
• Strong command of Employment Law & OHRC knowledge.

• College or University Degree in Human Resources Management or related field; CHRP is an asset
• Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with managers and other levels of personnel.

• Ability to maintain effective and productive working relationships with all company locations and departments.
