Senior Field HR Generalist

Are you a seasoned HR Professional who has at least 4-5 years of experience as a generalist? Have you had direct experience working in a unionized environment? Are you tired of sitting at your desk, staring at your computer screen all day, wishing you had the opportunity to travel and meet with your clients and employees to provide them the support and counsel they need? Our client began as a family-owned business over 80 years ago and rapidly grew to an international leader in food services. They are currently seeking a Senior Field HR Generalist.

Your main tasks:

• Manage the full recruitment cycle.
• Manage employee relations and union relationships including but not limited to looking after and processing grievances and answering inquiries regarding the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Participate in succession planning and provide direction regarding performance management and appraisal.
• Educate and ensure managers and supervisors are adhering to all occupational health and safety programs and provide training to those that require it.
• Provide leadership and counsel to both clients and employees.
• Carry out any other similar tasks.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4-5 years of generalist experience or in a generalist role.
• HR experience must include both labour and employee relations.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Must have access to a vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
