Material Handler (Shipper/Receiver) – Oakville, ON

HIRING NOW We are looking to hire a Material Handler (ShipperReceiver), to work for our Client in the Aerospace industry in Oakville, ON for approximately a 12 monthsrsquo assignment, through our Company Volt Workforce Solutions Canada.

Job Description Employer Volt Workforce Solutions Canada Client Aerospace industry Job Title Material Handler (ShipperReceiver) Work Location Oakville, ON, CAN, L6L 5Y7 Pay Rate upto 22hr (T4) benefits available (Keep in mind there is an extra premium for the Weekday Afternoon shift 22hr 0.95hr shift premium for Weekday Afternoon shift).

Shift We need candidates for either of the following shifts WEEKDAY Days (Mon-Fri 7am-3pm) WEEKDAY Afternoons (Mon-Fri 11am-7pm) Term 12-months assignment from actual start date with the possibility of extension Reporting to the Supervisor of shipping, as a Material Handler (ShipperReceiver), you will be responsible for Shipping and Receiving duties including crating, packaging, loading and unloading delivery trucks, and data entry into the business system Primary responsibilities Compare identifying information of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records Unpack cratescartons and receiving of product(entering information into ERP system or other) Prepare shipments for delivery, packaging orders to customer specification prepare all process parts to ship to vendors Prepare all necessary customs documentation Organize trucks for pick-up and delivery Utilize power tools (band saw, etc.) Operate lift truck, hand tucks, and overhead crane to move, convey, or hoist shipments May be required to handle dangerous goods and materials Co-ordinate with Production Control the shuttle between Burlington and Oakville Participate in CI activities Attend daily Ace Board LDMS and other meetings as required Receiving and Shipping of goods from Suppliers and Processors to be updated in sap May be asked to complete other tasks in the department based on skills and qualifications Basic Qualifications High school diploma or educational equivalent One to three years shipping receiving experience required and must have forklift truck certification Dangerous Goods qualification would be considered an asset Demonstrated experience using overhead cranesslings and a variety of power tools Strong communication and organizational skills Strong PC skills (ERP systems, MS Office applications) Demonstrated strong communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment Candidates must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP Safety Oriented Volt is an Equal Opportunity Employer Volt Workforce Solutions Canada is committed to meeting the needs of applicants and employees with disabilities in a timely manner, and will do so by preventing and removing barriers to accessibility in support of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
