About the Role The position is located in Toronto Ontario.

The Tier 2 IT Technician will be responsible for installs, tests, troubleshoots, and maintains hardware and software implements and monitors PC standards and procedures facilitates backup and recovery maintains service logs security incident reports coordinates vendor updates provides technical guidance and training to end users monitors problemchange activities and coordinates the involvement of staff, clients, and vendors to ensure effective resolution of user problems.

Required Qualifications Strong written and oral communication skills Professional customer service skills 3 years recent computer, server, and network troubleshooting experience Must be resourceful and able to take initiative in a dynamic environment Ability to effectively and efficiently troubleshoot technical problems Advanced knowledge of current Microsoft desktop and server operating systems and desktop applications Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL, Exchange, Domain controller and other server applications Advanced knowledge of computer and server hardware Familiarity with network troubleshooting Essential Duties and responsibilities Provides resolution for assigned service tickets Works with users to evaluate and solve technical problems Evaluates existing systems andor user needs to analyze, design, recommend, and implement system changes Configures and supports internal andor external networks Develops and maintains all systems, applications, security, and network configurations Troubleshoots network performance Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment Works closely with the IT team to make sure the Security Policy is respected.
