JOB DESCRIPTION Windows AdministratorSystems Engineer Reporting Relationship and Position Location The position is Markham, Canada and reports to Manager of Infrastructure Engineering.

The candidate must have 5+ years of experience installing, implementing, and administering various Information Systems platforms (Windows 2012 and above).

The primary objective of this position is to deploy, maintain and support client’s Infrastructure systems in support of business applications.

Provide data management operations to ensure the security, quality, performance, and accessibility of the platforms.

This position is required to work on problems of diverse scope related to various Systems technologies.

This position will also supply technical excellence and professionalism to Infrastructure Engineering Team and continually work to diversify and improve the team skills and knowledge.

Overview of Responsibilities Support and problem resolution relating to physical and virtual Servers, both on-prem and in the cloud (AWS) in support of business applications.

System administration encompassing hardware and software maintenance, performance management, event monitoring, troubleshooting, automation, security, scripting (python, java, bash, etc).

Support of Enterprise backup locally and cloud deployed technologies Deployment and support of ServerInfrastructure consolidations to on-premise andor cloud (Cloud server provisioning, thin application provisioning).

Infrastructure related project support (scoping, designing, task development, deployment, operationalization, ongoing support).

Follows up to ensure engineer assignments are completed accurately and timely Adhere to policies and procedures Builds and fosters courteous and professional relationships with others.

Reflects a good professional image.

Aides in preparation of budgets and forecasts related to infrastructure hardware and supporting software.

Acquiresmaintains updated knowledge in the profession and industry Open to diverse tasksassignments as necessary Specific areas of technical focus include Windows Administration AWS (EC2, S3, CF) VMWare Administration or Virtualization experience Familiar with various hardware platforms Cisco UCS, Nutanix, HP, IBM Systems management security, change, event monitoring Support Back-up, Recovery and Archiving NetBackup, CommVault, etc.

Configuration management Specific Objectives Responsibilities Design Implement required application and database environments (SandboxDevQAProd) Operating system and Firmware versionpatch upgrade planning and implementation Performance analysis, problem determination, and capacity planning efforts Work closely with Technical and Development teams Install and upgrade supporting third party modules and software.

Design, plan, and maintain process automation solutions Ensure SDLC process is adhered Ensure SLAs are met Provide technical expertise and support for various technical and business groups and work closely with development teams Design maintain technical and logical application and infrastructure documentation Communicate accurate and timely status of issues Support annual audit requirements (SOX, PCI, Security, etc.) Criteria Credentials Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience 5+ years of demonstrated experience Infrastructure Hardware and Software Familiarity with collaboration software (MSOffice, SharePoint, Confluence, Google, etc.) Experience with configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, etc.) a plus Strong communications skills team work, presentation, writing Ability to work well with others and take direction Requires a very detail and organized person Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities High level of energy, urgency, and commitment Must work well as part of a team Ability to work on multiple projects at once Ability to manage time effectively
