Customs Release Clerk


This is a Full-time position in ON posted July 20, 2019.

Ref ID: 05010-0011055328 Classification: Customer Service Compensation: $17.00 to $17.50 per hour As a Customs Release Clerk in this global leading logistics organization, you will interact with our distribution partners providing and processing information in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests regarding products and services.

The Customs Release Clerk is primarily responsible for receiving and checking documents and preparing releases for electronic submission.

The Customs Release Clerk is assisting in the preparation of Customs documentation to ensure that any shipments either imported or exported meet all applicable laws so that entry or export can occur.

The job of the Customs Release Clerk is a very important role within Shipping Logistics.

Essential Duties Responsibilities of Customs Release Clerk: Receive and check customs brokerage documents Handle calls and questions from clients and/or drivers Tracking Tracing shipments Set-up releases at Customs, other branches or sub-agent offices Transmitting custom brokerage entries Process orders and prepare correspondence to fulfill customer needs.

Maintain customer records and update account information.

Prepare product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.

Assist with order and product management.

Import/Export and clearing of all loads; Truck, Air, Ocean Ensure that all shipping and receiving documents and functions are completed accurately and on time Receive, process and verify the accuracy of orders received via fax, email and telephone Initiate required action in response to requests for order changes, status updates and general inquiries Required Skills Experience of Customs Release Clerk: 2 to 3 years of Customs-related experience in a logistics/freight-forwarding industry Experience with Truck, Ocean Air freight, Customs logistics, and Bills of Lading Experience working in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment High attention to detail Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Good time-management, multi-tasking and follow-up skills Ability to work independently as well as engage others when required Customer centric, energetic, with outgoing personality and superb interpersonal skills Proficiency with computers (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook) For immediate consideration, please send your resume to [Click Here to Email Your Resumé] OfficeTeam is the world’s leader in professional staffing for office support jobs, focusing exclusively on the temporary and temporary-to-full-time placement of professionals in the administrative field.
