Distribution Center Manager

Duties and Responsibilities: Distribution Center Manager

– Ensure warehouse safety by eliminating potential hazards, promoting awareness, and practicing safe lifting techniques.
– Oversee receiving, order fulfillment, packing, shipping, and warehouse personnel management.
– Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
– Plan and implement new technologies, location and barcoding systems to optimize personnel efficiency.
– Maintain accurate stock records and schedules using ERP system
– Arrange for regular inspection and maintenance of vehicles.
– Coordinate with suppliers to ensure ordered inventory is accurate while maintaining good working relationships.
– Resolve worker problems or collaborate with employees and drivers to assist in problem resolution.
– Receiving shipments into system
– Assist in warehouse operations, as necessary

Requirements and Qualifications: Distribution Center Manager

– 3-8+ years of previous warehouse and distribution centre leadership, supervision or management experience
– Hands on experience with Warehouse Management and ERP systems
– Leadership oriented personality that looks for opportunities to lead and help develop employees
– Management experience and personality that believes in supporting a positive, collaborative work culture
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
