This person distributes work to General Labourers, monitors work progress actively, and completes daily paperwork to ensure quality assurance and productivity expectations are met.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist Supervisor with scheduling personnel and acquiring/redirecting staffSet up workstations for the project (example moving tables, conveyors, machinery around to suit the specific set-up of each new packaging assignment)Immediately and pro-actively deal with inappropriate conduct/performance and/or any unsafe behavior, escalating to Supervisor if requiredMonitor the work hourly once it has begun, ensuring instructions are understood and quality standards are being metCommunicating productivity goals.

Work quickly and proactively to identify any concerns.

Report results to Supervisor dailyIdentify bottlenecks and workflow issues in the packaging areas, troubleshooting and correcting on the spot (e.G.

moving staff, examining set-up of products)Administer effective training to teamPrepare written notes for hand-off to afternoon shift (day team ends at 2:30pm, afternoon team starts at 3:00pm)Reviews written work instructions, ensuring all products needed are available for packagingClean-up work station when finished, including ensuring excess inventory is counted and returned to stock, and ensuring tables/conveyors/equipment are clear and available for next assignmentEnsure quality standards are maintained at all times (food and natural health products often handled, strict adherence to quality processes is required)Requirements:Advanced planning, organizational, and time management skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyGood leadership skills, able to coach, train, and direct staff effectivelySufficient experience in Microsoft Office; able to generate reportsApplicants with the following experience have successful transferable skills and be equally considered: assembly, general labour, general labourer, general labor, general laborer, packaging, warehouse, warehouse worker, production, production line, production line worker, kitting, light manual, simple tasks, packer, order picker, packing, manpower, general labourer associate, picker, shipper, receiver, quality inspector, quality assurance, quality control, quality control technician, inspector, control inspector, etc.Powered by JazzHR2cDbBYfj8v
