Located in East Montreal, QC. – one of our clients is in the public sector. They are currently looking for a procurement specialist.
Reporting to the Procurement Director – here are the responsibilities of the mandate:
– Carry out procurement procedures and develop business processes, determine the contract award method that will meet needs.
– Accompanies the applicant in the analysis of cost estimates for the establishment of business volumes for the contractual period.
– Develop analyzes for the establishment of financial results for the awarding of contracts.
– Develop innovative approaches and new procurement strategies to identify potential sources of savings.
– Carries out or coordinates the performance of market studies, analyzes and recommends best practices in terms of procurement.
– Participates in external and internal working groups, maintains exchange relations and cooperative contacts with potential suppliers to exchange information.
– Develop tools to assess organizational performance in procurement.
– Performs all tasks characteristic of the buyer.
– Ensures, when required, the execution of any related activity that he is reasonably able to perform.
Minimum general knowledge required:
– French and English spoken and written
– Rules governing the supply environment
– Various office software and equipment, more particularly the Windows environment and Word, Excel and Access software from the Microsoft Office suite.
– Ability for interpersonal relations and communications with various stakeholders
Minimum academic background required:
– BAC in administration option supply management or operations management or be accredited by the Canadian Purchasing Management Association.
Minimum experience required:
– Four (4) years of experience in a comparable position within a purchasing department.
