Forklift Operator

Adecco is currently seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our clients team in Ajax, ON. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in our fast-paced warehousing environment. Your primary responsibilities will include operating dual/quad forklifts, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, and fostering positive relationships with both customers and internal associates.

• Pay rate: $24.04/hour.

• Location: Ajax, ON

• Shifts: Monday-Friday 10:00am-5:30pm

• Job type: Temporary to permanent |Full-time

Detailed Job Description:

• Operate dual/quad forklifts in a fast-paced warehousing environment.

• Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal associates.

• Ensure safe forklift operation in compliance with OSHA and company standards.

• Complete safety checklists accurately and on time.

• Adhere to quality and SQF standards.

• Lift 55 lbs. consistently throughout the day.

• Maintain effective communication with peers and management.

• Implement clean-as-you-go and good housekeeping practices on the production floor.

• Demonstrate knowledge of transport packaging and a production-based warehouse environment.

• Possess food safety knowledge.

• Be familiar with 5s lean manufacturing principles.

• Obtain and maintain forklift certifications.

• Thrive in a fast-paced work environment while multitasking.

• Facilitate effective verbal communication between associates and customers.

• Have at least 2 years of previous warehouse experience in a fast-paced warehousing environment.

• Have at least 2 years of previous forklift experience in a fast-paced warehousing environment.

• Provide effective communication skills.

Candidate’s Profile:

• Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

• Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a fast-paced warehousing environment.

• Strong knowledge of safety and compliance standards.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to lift heavy objects consistently.

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.

• Strong teamwork and multitasking abilities.
