Job Description

Moose Creek Tire Recycling is a leader in the tire recycling industry. Using a highly automated process we transform scrap tires of all types and sizes into rubber mats that are primarily used for animal comfort in the dairy and equine industries. Having strong worldwide sales, we currently have openings for Industrial Mechanics/Millwrights, NOC 7333, at our state of the art facility located in Moose Creek, Ontario.

Duties to include:

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery;
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to work orders;
• Install or modify equipment according to specifications;
• Complete work orders or other required documentation.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years verifiable experience as an industrial mechanic;
• Knowledge & understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems;
• Strong troubleshooting skills;
• Strong welding skills;
• Ability to read blueprints;
• Ability to work with minimal supervision;
• Safety orientated;
• Ability to lift 50 lbs;
• Comfortable working at heights (100ft);
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Assets:

• Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Millwright) trade certification;
• Electrical troubleshooting skills;
• Experience programming Allen Bradley PLC’s;
• Bilingual ( English – French).

Job Type:

• Full time;
• 12 hour shifts;

Salary:

• As per collective agreement;
• Starting rate fixed at $31.31/hr or $33.33/hr based on qualifications and experience
• $33.33/hr or $35.35/hr, based on qualifications and experience, after 600 hours
• $1.50/hr night shift premium where applicable

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $31.31-$35.35 per hour
