Microelectronics Functional Test Technician

Adecco is currently hiring a temporary full-time Microelectronics Test Technician to work for our client Celestica in Newmarket, ON. Celestica is a diversified technology and manufacturing global leader with a long and demonstrated heritage of both innovation and achievement.

In this role you will be responsible for functional testing and running chemical dispensing machines. This role requires you to be working with product specifications, schematics, and mechanical drawings; operator assembles, inspects and tests electronic and mechanical products. • Pay rate: $22.00/hour
• Location: Newmarket, ON
• Shifts: Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 4:30pm
• Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Testing printed circuit assembly sensor boards through an electro-fluidics functional tester and optimizing associated throughput and minimizing failures
• Operation of epoxy dispensing robot
• Loading and unloading small parts into trays and x-ray equipment (excellent hand eye dexterity required)
• Inspection of x-ray computer images looking for fine defects (high visual acuity required)
• Documentation required so written communications skills are an asset
• Use of Gmail and Google Sheets, MS-Word and MS-Excel are required (or willingness to quickly learn)

Requirements:

• Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
• College Diploma/Degree and or equivalent Military experience.
• Experience in electronic assembly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a lab environment
• Hands-on experience with machine operations is required
• Experience with manual assembly and visual inspection
• Excellent hand-eye coordination, dexterous, detail-oriented
• Strong inspection skills: ability to evaluate and examine defects using x-ray & microscopes
• General computer skills & proficient with MS-Excel
• Time management and ability to prioritize tasks according to deadlines
