Senior Specialist, Marketing IM (15 Month Contract)


This is a Contract position in Mississauga, ON posted December 2, 2019.

Position Summary

Under guidance of the Sr. Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the development and execution of consumer focused integrated marketing campaigns that drive brand salience, demand and recruitment for assigned IM product categories. While this position will focus on marketing communications, the incumbent needs to be flexible enough to work on events or ad hoc marketing programs, as the needs of the business arise. This position reports to the Senior Marketing Manager, with a strong day-to-day collaboration with the IM product management, channel marketing, retail excellence and shared services marketing teams.

Role and Responsibilities

  • In Collaboration with Product Marketing and Shared Services Marketing teams, develop integrated campaigns and programs that support new product introduction, key seasonal periods and on-going business needs. Ensure alignment among key stakeholders In collaboration with Senior Manager, develop creative briefs that clearly articulate communication objectives and success criteria to inform and direct agency and partner IMC development Development and execution of integrated communication campaigns across multiple channels including, but not limited to, broadcast, print, retail, digital/social media, loyalty initiatives, promotion, events and support PR efforts.
  • Project manages the executional detail of these campaigns including budget management, development of creative briefs and messaging documents and timelines.
  • Leverage Marketing Intelligence and campaign performance insights to optimize campaigns and executional elements Manage outsourced resources including Agencies of Record and third party vendors
  • Act as the champion for brand integrity and compliance in all materials
  • Responsible for reviewing any materials and or messaging related to the brand assets to ensure consistency and alignment with positioning.  Gains final alignment with Marketing Leadership Team
  • Ensure all reviews and approvals are gained (legal, partners, brands, etc.)
  • Estimate scope of work, prepare budgets, and create plan proposals (PPs) and execution orders  (EOs) as part of the planning and approval process.
  • Provide liaison with HQ, NAHQ/SEA or third parties to source marketing assets, best practices
  • Review key programs to ensure ROI targets are achieved

Successfully complete in a timely manner at any certifications as mandated by HQ

Skills and Qualifications

  • University Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience in proposing, planning, and managing promotions, collateral materials, budgets, and managing advertising agents and graphic material vendors preferred. 
  • Experience in technology industry with a basic knowledge and understanding of industry advertising agents, communications planning, and asset creation/adaptation preferred.
  • The ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with multiple levels within and outside the company.  Must be able to influence others in acceptance, approval, and providing product description.
  • Superior project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, prioritize multiple assignments,  prepare written plans and schedules, identify objectives, create promotional materials, coordinate and direct project teams, manage creative developers, and manage budgets.
  • The ability to work in a team environment to identify and achieve team project goals and results, including the completion of assignments within established time frames.
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to solve day-to-day challenges, support the development and optimization of processes and contribute to Marketing planning.
