Heavy Equipment Mechanic ($30- $37 an hour)

This is a Full-time position in Orangeville, ON posted March 26, 2021.

We are an exclusive dealer for the Bandit Industries Inc.

line of wood chippers, stump grinders and large recycling equipment as well as a dealer for many other industrial equipment product lines.

Our warehouse is located in North Vancouver.

We are currently looking for an experienced Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team.

• Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy duty equipment (i.e.

tree chippers,stump grinders, construction equipment and other heavy duty equipment)
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic and electronic failures as wellas visually inspections.

• Perform complex troubleshooting of diesel and gasoline engine powered industrialequipment and related electronic control systems.

• Troubleshoot and repair a variety of small engine driven equipment such as pumps,welders, air compressors, cut-off saws, etc.

• Test repairs to ensure proper and safe completion
• Able to use a large array of hand and power tools
• Thorough and accurate completion of production related paperwork and administration.

• Work well with minimal guidance, to collaborate daily with Service Manager.

• Work in a safe manner in accordance with WorkSafe BC regulations.

• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment The duties and responsibilities of this position are subject to change periodically and to meet evolving business needs.

Required Skills:
• Excellent communication skills
• Class 5 driver’s license
• Valid Forklift ticket
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
• Ability to lift heavy items
• Must have a positive work ethic
