Maintenance Technician

Our client, a leading cosmetic company, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for supporting production line operations and equipment maintenance at their facility located at Major Mackenzie and Highway 404 in Markham.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Markham, ON
Pay Range: $28/hour plus 4% vacation pay
Timing: 2pm-10pm

What’s the Job?
• Perform and assist Line Technicians with set-ups/equipment changeovers for filling, assembly, and process equipment.
• Troubleshoot drive mechanisms, including motors, gearboxes, pulleys, and bearings.
• Perform basic set-ups/changeovers for packaging and process equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance (PM) and breakdown analysis on equipment.
• Address major equipment failure modes and train operators on equipment operation and troubleshooting.

What’s Needed?
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1-3 years of related experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of machine tools and hand tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
-Exp in cosmetics, food industry is considered an asset
