Mechanical Technologist Summer Student


This is a Contract position in Greater Sudbury, ON posted January 31, 2020.

Summary Use the application of design principles to provide efficient, effective, economical and timely solutions in a multidiscipline project environment.

Responsibilities Assist in the development of 3D models in an integrated CAD environment.

Prepare and update mechanical deliverables including: General arrangement drawings, detail drawings, and design sketches in accordance with established quality procedures.

Work with other professionals, within and outside the engineering field, to deliver successful projects within exceptional quality, budget and schedule results.

Qualifications Successful candidates will have completed the first two years of their Technical Diploma.

Must be experienced using CAD and knowledge of AutoCAD, Intergraph PDS, Bentley PlantSpace and/or 3D Microstation is considered an asset.

Proficiency with MS Office is an asset.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to apply technical knowledge to various practical problems.

A desire to learn and continually develop.
