Technical Trainer-Instructor/Mechanized Welding Technician

A Technical Trainer-Instructor/Mechanized Welding Technician is responsible for jointly working with Liburdi’s Automation group and the GAPCO field services group to familiarize themselves with the full catalogue of Liburdi’s welding equipment.

This individual will be required to effectively use, and train other welders to use, all mechanized welding systems.

A Technical Trainer-Instructor/Mechanized Welding Technician must be willing to travel throughout North America and Europe.

Approximately 30% of the work time will be spent travelling.

This position is for the day shift but may be required to work on the night shift dependent on the project.

While on site conditions are comparable to construction environments found in Oil & Gas industries, shipyards, industrial facilities and nuclear plants.

Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to): Develop WPS’s, PPQ and PQR’s, as well as, any other procedures as required.

Assist with tooling development and factory acceptance testing for multiple applications.

Conduct in class training as well as hands-on training in the shop for small to large groups.

Key Skill Requirements: Strong verbal and written communication skills High attention to detail Ability to handle multiple tasks Key Education/Experience Requirements: Minimum 5 years technical welding experience required Minimum 10 years trade experience as a welder required Red Seal trade certification as a Boilermaker or Pipefitter Welder required Experience with Liburdi equipment and processes is an asset Certified as a Mechanized Weld Instructor required Certified as a Mechanized Weld Trainer-Train the Trainer required Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) Application Information: This role is a permanent full time positon.
