Robot Fitter Welder – Stainless Steel Sheet Metal

WHO ARE WE:

ROADWARRIOR Inc. manufactures a wide range of diesel particulate filters (DPFs) and diesel oxidation catalysts (DOCs) for the model year 2007 and newer medium-duty trucks, buses and heavy duty class 8 diesel trucks. All DPFs and DOCs are guaranteed to install as a direct fit part and work with your truck’s ECU. ROADWARRIOR is an affiliate company of DCL International Inc., a leading North American manufacturer of emission control systems in business for over 30 years.

We are very pleased to announce that a new office and manufacturing space is currently being built to better accommodate the expanding ROADWARRIOR operation. The new facility will be located in Innisfil, ON (South of Barrie) and will provide ROADWARRIOR with the space it needs to continue to grow and thrive; the new facility will increase the available manufacturing space by 60%. You would start work from 241 Bradwick Drive, from the Company’s Vaughan, Ontario, location. Effective July 3rd, 2018, Roadwarrior will be relocating to 3280 Thomas Street, Innisfil, Ontario. A travel allowance will be provided up to the move date.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

We are a fast-paced, highly motivated team of individuals, looking for a Robot Fitter Welder to join our growing team.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate welding robot according to specifications to meet daily production targets Apply adjustments to weld settings and monitor robotic welding production line Set up parts and components in a jig or fixtures for welding, start-up, and shutdown Loading/ unloading and operating a single robot welding cell Inspect welded workpieces to ensure they meet product specifications Create welding programs Operate equipment in compliance with safety procedures and requirements, ensuring that all PPE required is used.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent 3-5 years experience operating welding robot equipment, including making program modifications and adjustments Previous experience with MIG and TIG welding of thin gauge stainless steel Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, and technical manuals Ability to work from verbal and/or written instructions with minimal supervision. Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination; strong attention to detail. Ability to use a variety of hand and measurement tools Excellent communication skills in English required (verbal and written), problem-solving, and interpersonal skills required. Strong team player with the ability to work independently; flexible to work various shifts and tasks as assigned. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly within a shift.
